Information Collection and Use

In the newsletter form, you can provide me with your name and email. This information will be sent by the newsletter form processor to Mailchimp, which is my newsletter provider.

MailChimp is a service in the US that I also use to send my newsletters. The use of MailChimp on this website essentially ensures that emails are sent reliably and, above all, that they are more likely not to end up in your spam filter.

I will not store the newsletter form data on my server and in no other archive than the Mailchimp archive located on the MailChimp server. MailChimp after receiving the data from my server will send you an email to give you the possibility to confirm your subscription to my newsletter. After confirming your subscription your data will be stored in the MailChimp server. Clicking on the confirmation link that MailChimp will send you, they will get your IP address and some log data.

Looking at the MailChimp Dashboard and looking on your profile, I will have access to the following data:

  • Your Email
  • Your Name
  • Your activities regarding my newsletter (newsletter receipt, opening, and clicking)
  • Your Language
  • Your Location
  • Your Favorite email client
  • Your Preferred email format

At any time you will be able to cancel your subscription by clicking on the link that MailChimp will include in every newsletter you will receive.

When visitors leave comments on the site I collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s masked IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Before collecting the visitor’s IP address the comment processor will replace the last digits with 999,

This website does not store the complete IP addresses of users who visit the website, for more than 30 seconds. After submitting the contact forms that you find on this website, your IP address will be stored for 30 seconds to avoid the same user having the same IP address trying to submit the same form several times. In this way, I reduce malicious intentions against my website.

If you post a comment on this website, your IP address will be transformed replacing the last digits with 999 before collecting it. Fortunately, I have other efficient methods to contrast spammers.
